         Sherry is living her gift!

Sherry Summerville was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. It was there that she developed her love for jazz. Growing up, her main influences were Karen Carpenter, Earth, Wind and Fire, and anything Motown. Later she would study the works of jazz greats Diane Schuur, Nancy Wilson, Dianne Reeves, Carmen McRae, and Anita O'Day.

Her voice has taken her through the Northwest, East Coast, the Caribbean, and parts of Europe. Sherry's wide vocal and stylistic range enables her to appeal to many. Coupled with her ability to connect with audiences, she has been able to create a unique show and a synergetic experience for her audience. She has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Mt. Hood Jazz, Cathedral Park, and Vancouver Wine & Jazz Festivals.

She recently completed her self-titled album with some of the Northwest's finest musicians: George Mitchell on piano, Mark Powers- drums, Craig Snazelle -bass, Kirt Peterson - reeds and flute, Christopher Woitach on guitar. The album is true to her character, featuring straight-ahead jazz such as Yard Bird Suite to the blues/rock songs Breakdown Dead Ahead and Rock Me On the Water.
